21 Most Important T-Shirt Blogs Selection Process
Of course you probably want to know how I created this list of the 21 most important t-shirt blogs. It wasn’t too scientific really and it is totally subjective. I selected these 21 blogs because they were updated regularly in 2011 and provide good resources for t-shirt fans and t-shirt businesses. I may have missed a few blogs but these are the ones that caught my attention. Some more established blog were left out because of a lack of recent posts. That’s about it really.

I am the TrendRun by Adam Hendle, this blog covers much more than t-shirts but pays special attention to promoting indie t-shirt companies. If you’re indie you’re in! Blogger, entrepreneur and now employee of Storenvy the free shopping cart and social shopping network, this guy knows his stuff. |

Coty GonzalesThis is not really a personal blog despite the title but perhaps Dr. Coty Gonzales uses what he learned while getting his Ph.D. in Psychology to review t-shirts and give sound critiques on the packages that get sent his way. Be sure to check out Co-Tee TV too to see him really dissect a t-shirt. |

Compete-tee-tionThis is definitely my favorite blog. MJ, who is also a t-shirt designer, covers all things related to t-shirt design contests. That’s great and it’s an incredible resource for t-shirt designers but that is not why I love it. The t-shirt design reviews are superb. MJ shouldn’t be reviewing t-shirts, she should be a novelist. That’s how good her writing is. |

Tee JunctionThe Tee Junction blog may not be updated quite as much as some other blogs but it is quite possibly the best resource on the internet for t-shirt coupons. Check out Tee Junction’s Tee Directory for all the best deals. |

TROUNDUPThis blog has been on the scene as long as I remember and continues to post quality reviews and news on a regular basis.

Pop Culture TeesI feel like every time I visit this site they have redesigned it. (Of course I usually read posts in Google Reader, so it may seem more often than in reality.) Like TROUNDUP above, this blog has been around for as long as I remember but doesn’t seem to be updated as much as it used to be.

I love your tshirtThis blog has their headquarters in Belgium and have a team made up of French and Belgians. The news and reviews seem to be almost entirely in English these days. It is a very active blog and is a great resource for tee hunters as well as t-shirt stores. |

Tshirt Factory BlogThis blog was probably originally created as a way to promote and sell its vectors but it has certainly outgrown that and is now a great resource for t-shirt designers and stores. |

CottonableThis blog by Rangga Rahimsono is regularly updated with solid news and information. Rangga has run Cottonable since 2006 (although it used to go by a different name.) |

T-Shirt MagazineThis blog has been run since march 2008. The highlight of the blog in my opinion is the business section and they even launched their own book: Launch a Kick-Ass T-Shirt Brand. |

How to Start a Clothing CompanyThis is the go to website if you are thinking of starting your own t-shirt brand but it is a great resource even for those who just want to improve their company with advice covering printing, marketing and more. |

Tee GazetteThis blog has been on the scene since 2010. Owner Kelly Murphy and Jared Thompson with the help of a few guest bloggers are pumping out a lot of updates these days. This may be the one to watch in 2012. |

TcriticThis was once the top dog of t-shirt blogs. It had the most and the best of everything t-shirt wise but it doesn’t get updated as much as it used to. |

T-Shirt WatchThis t-shirt blog used to be updated much more and got and probably still gets a lot of traffic because of its focus on celebrities’ in t-shirts. Not updated regularly but it seemed to be revived for a short time in October with some short interviews. |

Raw TeeFrankie started this blog on Tumblr before he made the leap to the far superior WordPress platform. (Bring it on Tumblrs! PS. I have a Tumblr too.) |

PreshrunkThis is the granddaddy of blogs. Patient Zero. Ownership was transferred recently but I suspect that it will never return to its former glory. Posts are usually short, often crude and to the point. |

Tee ReviewerLast but not least is the blog you are currently reading. 2011 was a strange year for me. I was in Japan for the big earthquake and as a result of that decided to take my family back to Ireland for a break for 6 months. The site has been totally redesigned and renamed (it used to be The T-Shirt Review. We even changed domains. I have a feeling 2012 is going to be the best year yet for this blog. I hope you stick around. |

Shirt Hunters[German] Thomas talks about and promotes new shirts, collections and labels on Shirt Hunters. He posts the tees that he would wear and he wears S if you are interested in sending him a tee! |
I would also like to mention that last year was the year I launched the Shirt List. I think the first t-shirt was posted in February as the site was still being built. It has been redesigned three times since it’s launch and I suspect it may change again this year. It’s not a blog but it does have great interviews with many more to come this year. If you are a t-shirt designer or store owner it is a free and easy way to get your tees promoted. I started a new site/blog called popthreads.com which talks about tees, but also offers a curated showcase for clothing lines to promote their stuff. It’s a little more oriented towards fashion in general.
