The previous Select series at Threadless, at least from my understanding, was a curated collection of designs printed on the same t-shirts that they used for their regular designs. They charged a little more for them so I guess that we were supposed to believe that the designs were of higher value. I liked the regular tees more in general so I don’t think I ever purchased a Select tee.

This new Select series is different though and I am much more impressed. They seem to have taken designs that were voted on and chosen in the regular Threadless competition and altered the designs to match the higher (at least I hope) quality t-shirts. And they do look great. I think that this idea probably evolved from two things that happened at Threadless recently. One is a collaboration with Society 6 where t-shirts very similar to these were produced and sold and the other is the recent release of other color/style options for existing designs. Anyway, as far as I am concerned this is a good move and the tees look very cool. I hope the $35 price tag comes down in the sales though as I am not used to paying that for my tees anymore.
