FIGUREGROUND is a research branch from the design firm PRAUD in Boston, MA. Yep, I stole that straight from their About Page.  They sent me a tee to review about a month ago but because of my European vacation I didn’t get around to posting about it until now. Paris, Rome and London if you must know. And yes, I had a great time. It’s kind of appropriate that I talk about this shirt after this trip though as FIGUREGROUND are selling tees with the theme of the most influential cities in the world.

They have selected some of the most influential cities and used maps of those cities to make quite cool graphic tees. As I live in Japan (usually) they sent me the Tokyo version. It is raspberry color though which is a little too close to pink for me. I don’t think I am young enough to pull pink off. A business shirt maybe but a tee is pushing it. Apart from the color though I love the concept and the execution is perfect. Nice quality shirt too. Probably American Apparel.

All tees are on sale at the moment for just $15 and they are way cooler than most souvenir tees you can buy so if you want a subtle city tee you won’t go wrong here.
