Internet magazine Format, that focuses on hip streetwear has decided to go into the retail business themselves and have used their contacts to create and launch a pretty sweet new line of t-shirts that can be purchased directly from their online store. They carefully selected the artists/designers who came up with some pretty original designs and the store was just launched yesterday (or so). If you like what you see don’t wait around as these are limited edition tees. Only 300 of each will be printed. $35 per shirt is not the cheapest but it’s still not a bad deal, especially when you can be fairly sure you won’t bump into someone else wearing the same shirt. Also, taxes and shipping are included so that should soften the blow.
As you would expect from a web site that focuses on fashion it is a very stylish website and didn’t make the mistake of displaying the tees as tiny images that many newcomers to the business do but even so I wanted to get a closer look at the designs. It is sometimes hard to see what is being depicted. Luckily there are some descriptions to help us out.
There are just 6 tees in their Nu Nouveau collection and even though they differ in styles they seem to compliment each other. My favorite are the two below. Click on the images to go to their shop page to get a better view and to find out more about the designs and designers.
