Cafepress Inifinistitch products cause a stir in the embroidery worlds.
In recent posts I mentioned that Cafepress had released new embroidery products and there has been a heated debate going on ever since. (See here and here) Is it embroidery? Is is not embroidery? I can understand the worry from people in the embroidery industry. Imagine someone came along and said they could do your job cheaper and better. You’d… Read more →
Well, today’s chat at Cafepress provided a lot more information about these new products and this new technology. This new embroidery technique is called Infinistitch and was developed by Cafepress and is therefore exclusive to Cafepress. While they admit it is not traditional embroidery it does have an advantage – infinite colors. No easy task for traditional embroidery it seems,… Read more →
Well, as predicted, EOD (Embroidery on Demand) has arrived at Cafepress. Today Cafepress had some downtime for “maintenance” but really it was to provide us with these new products. When I saw the little banner in my control panel I got a little rush of excitement. I quickly clicked on it and, I’m sorry to say, my excitement just as… Read more →

The first thing to discuss is of course: limits. Cafepress has decided to set a limit to the number of sections allowed in Premium Shops to 500. This news… Read more →
This post is more for POD shopkeepers than customers. Little did I know when I went to bed last night that my world (the POD part of it anyway) would be changed. I have stores at both Cafepress and Zazzle so these changes are very interesting for me. First I will talk about the changes at Zazzle (good news first)…. Read more →
I have been a POD shopkeeper for a couple of years but I have just recently noticed that these shops and the shopkeepers are making the news more and more. Today I came across an article on CNBC which mentioned both shops again with regard to political t-shirts. It said that Cafepress, which is probably the largest POD company, say… Read more →
