Cleaning out my inbox (finally) I found this email from march 3rd about this small tee store called chalked. I don’t know why I didn’t post about it but probably something to do with having just moved to Okinawa, looking for a job, a place to live, a car, a kindergarten for my daughter etc. Anyway, somehow it was forgotten about until now. Shame on me.

The email was from Frankie Becerra, who I assume is the artist. I have seen some chalk style tees before and I do like them. But I think Frankie has taken them to another level with a mixed style. I haven’t decided if that level is higher or lower but it is another level that’s for sure.

There are five tees in the store that are celebrity caricatures and they are all kind of in bad taste. Yes, I do think they are funny. I can appreciate this type of insensitive humor. Anyway, the victims of this humor are, Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley, Christopher Reeve, Bob Marley and Steve Irwin.
